The UCPN (Maoist), an important ally of the incumbent KP Sharma Oli-led government, has decided to form a new government under the leadership of its Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal. A Standing Committee meeting of the party held at Dahal’s residence in Lazimpat took a decision to this effect on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, the party has also appealed to all the parties to join the coalition government. Issuing a press statement after the meeting, the UCPN (M) said that it has decided to form a new government under the leadership of Chairman Dahal at a time when the Nepali Congress is also willing to extend its support for the new government under Dahal's leadership.
